Convert DOCX to PDF
Word to PDF Converter
Convert DOCX documents to PDF locally in your browser. Complex Word layouts may differ slightly from Microsoft Word.
Word document and output
Choose a DOCX document to begin.
Visual PDF captures each rendered page as an image. Text in the downloaded PDF will not remain selectable.
Print / Save as PDF uses your browser print dialog. Choose “Save as PDF” as the printer or destination; text selectability varies by browser and operating system.
Document preview
A limited preview will appear after the DOCX is safely validated and rendered.
Preview shows up to the first three rendered pages. Page breaks are reconstructed by the browser and may differ from Microsoft Word.

How local DOCX conversion works
A DOCX file is an OOXML ZIP package. ToolHub validates the package, rejects macro-enabled formats and removes external or active relationships before rendering the sanitized document with the bundled docx-preview library.
Visual PDF mode captures the rendered browser pages as images inside a PDF. The print workflow opens an isolated printable view and lets the browser’s PDF printer create the file.
Word-to-PDF example
A simple letter with headings, paragraphs and an inline logo will usually render close to the original. A complex report with floating shapes, unusual fonts, comments or advanced fields may paginate differently in the browser.
Visual PDF versus Print / Save as PDF
A visual PDF aims to preserve the appearance of the preview, but its page content is image-based and text is not selectable. The print method may keep browser-rendered text and can be smaller, but the final pagination depends on browser, paper and print settings.
Supported and unsupported Word files
This converter supports DOCX. Legacy .doc files, macro-enabled .docm documents and template formats such as .dotm are not accepted. Convert an authorized legacy file to DOCX in a trusted office application before using the tool.
Important conversion limitations
- Fonts: unavailable proprietary fonts can be substituted.
- Layout: floating objects, fields, tracked changes and advanced Word features may differ.
- Links and text: visual PDF output is image-based.
- Review: never assume page breaks match Word without opening the final PDF.
