How PDF merging works
After selection, ToolHub loads its bundled pdf-lib runtime and copies page objects from each source into a new PDF. It does not turn ordinary source pages into screenshots during the merge, so vectors, images and selectable text are generally retained.
Each complete source PDF is copied in the order shown. If you need only certain pages, split or organize the source first, then merge the smaller outputs.
Merge example
Choose a one-page cover, a ten-page report and a two-page appendix. Put them in that order and merge them to create a thirteen-page document.
Merging PDFs with different page sizes
The merged file can contain A4, Letter, portrait and landscape pages together. The tool does not force every source page into one size. That preserves the original layout, although the document may look uneven when printed with one paper setting.
Can JPG files be merged with PDFs?
This tool combines PDF files. To include JPG, PNG or WebP images, convert those images with the JPG to PDF Converter first and then merge the resulting PDF with the other documents.
Important limitations
- Encrypted files: password-protected or malformed PDFs may be rejected.
- Interactive content: forms, annotations, attachments and automatic actions are not carried into the new file.
- Bookmarks: source document navigation may not be rebuilt automatically.
- Order: always check the visible file sequence before merging.

Merge PDF FAQ
How do I combine PDF files into one?
Select the PDF files, arrange them in the desired sequence, merge and download the new document.
Does merging reduce PDF quality?
The tool copies supported source page objects rather than rasterizing them, so ordinary page quality is retained.
Can I reorder individual pages while merging?
This page arranges complete files. Use Organize PDF for individual-page reordering before or after the merge.
Can I merge JPG images with a PDF?
Convert the images to PDF first, then add that PDF to the merge order.
Why will an encrypted PDF not merge?
Protected files may prevent page copying. Use an authorized, unprotected source file.
Are merged documents uploaded?
No. Source files and output remain in your browser during the operation.
